The
arrival of foreigners in First Nation's territory in the late eighteenth
century and the involvement of the indigenous people in the European fur trade
initiated a period of rapid cultural and historical change. Fashions in
dress and adornment reflected Native people's exposure to new technologies,
goods and styles. The collection of Sherpa Fleece Outerwear shown below is
an example of D'Arcy Moses creations using today's fabrics but still expressing
the Dene culture by his use of colors and adornment.
